Declaration of Defaulters
Members who do not pay their bills by due date will be sent notice after 15 days from due date of payment through speed post/ registered post addressed to their last known address as per records of the Institute with a request to clear their dues within 15 days from the date of issue of notice. Non payment of dues within 15 days from the date of issue of notice will result in declaration of member as “defaulter” and their membership will be terminated. They will cease to be the members of the Institute and will not be eligible to make use of the Institute in any capacity till such time :- (a) The Institute dues are paid in full including fine. A fine of Rs 100/- per month will be levied on the member requesting for revival of membership after a period of three months. This fine will be increased to Rs 200/- per month if the revival is requested after a gap of one year. The fine so collected will not be more than Rs 50,000/- irrespective of the time. (b) Fresh re-admission fee as decided by the Management is paid. (c) Their re-admission under Rule 20 of the DSOI Rules is approved by the concerned Committee. In case a member becomes Defaulter more than three times during the full tenure of his membership, he will be considered as a habitual Defaulter and his membership will not be revived, and will not be granted fresh membership of the Institute in future. (d) Retired officers who are members of this Institute will not be readmitted if their membership has been terminated because of non-payment of dues.
